Catalyst Sessions

The Catalyst project started in Spring 2025 where I worked with a handful of people who are passionate about music making. The idea of the project was to provide a moment during the week where people can meet other passionate artists and discuss their craft. The idea is to understand how our brain thinks and understand music making, with my guidance and experience.

I teach people to be resourceful and understand the real methods. Too often, younger producers fall for some advice and mindsets that are not for them. The Catalyst will teach how to learn on your own and how to find what works.

This implies deconstructing your understanding of your musical tastes.

It also means that you'll have to be open to exploring things you thought impossible.

All levels are welcome, but I demand that participants have a minimum understanding of their software, such as how to orient themselves and how to export.

What you'll know by the end of the 4 sessions:

• Analyze your workflow and identify hurdles that hinder your efficiency.
• Learn core techniques that enable you to create rapidly.
• Discover mindsets and workflows tailored to your specific needs. 
• Receive feedback on your music and ideas, and learn how to give and receive constructive criticism. 
• Explore exercises to help you define your unique sound and vision. Join us for a fun and transformative experience!

How it works:

Each week on Monday, you will receive an email with tasks and projects. The meeting will be on Thursday. Each session lasts 3h in which we will go through topics and activities. The sessions are recorded. We highly recommend not to miss a session as they all cover a lot of information and teachings.

Pre-Requisite:

• Know the basics of music
• A laptop or computer with a DAW such as Ableton. All exercises are in that environment but you can reproduce them into other DAW.
• Attend the sessions: September 3-10-17-24 at 1PM (New York Time).
